Hidden among the fields of County Galway stand the ruins of Kilskeagh church.

Created in response to the renewed interest in the site and the research it inspired, this House Chronicle captures something of the landscape as it is today and the place it once was.

Blackberry recalls the brambles and hedgerows that surround the old stones. Wildflower evokes the fields and waysides of the rural landscape. Beneath them lies incense — a trace of another Kilskeagh, when the ruined walls enclosed a living church and the scent of worship lingered in the air.
